Does the Google Pixel work with the Mavic Pro?
The short answer is Yes!
I have had the Google Pixel XL for a couple of months now and have been using it with my Mavic Pro the whole time.
The only issue I have had so far is the DJI Go 4 app has crashed while flying a few times. I have read that this is common for a lot of people with Android phones but I never experienced it with my Galaxy S6 edge. Luckily I was in GPS mode and not in the middle of a difficult flight so I could just quickly restart the app while the Mavic Pro hovered in place.
When the app crashed I still had full control of the Mavic Pro with the controller, I had only lost vision on the phone screen.
One of the best things about the Google pixel combined with the Mavic Pro is that it comes with unlimited storage at high res for free on Google photos. That means that all the footage and photos you take with the Mavic Pro will be automatically backed up to the cloud for safe keeping no matter how big the file size is!
I much prefer the screen on my Google pixel xl over the Samsung galaxy S6 edge. The edge screen was never bright enough in direct sunlight due to an auto brightness bug that was never fixed.
I always fly in airplane mode so that there are no distractions or unwanted calls.
Overall the Google pixel and the Dji Mavic Pro are a great combination and if it wasn't for the slight issues with the app crashing I would give it a perfect rating.
